+ I mentioned The California Raisins and it made my dad laugh for a really long time, for some reason.
+ Waiter recognized us from last Father’s Day (and the Father’s Day before that…) and gave us free champagne cocktails in thanks.
+ Sister wants my parents to get a duo of Himalayan cats that she’s had at her work (a vet clinic) since May. It’s now a possibility. Lizzie, our calico, will be thrilled.
+ Dad blasted Mr. Mister music in the car as he drove back, with the windows down. Because he’s hip and cutting edge.
+ Sister got into an argument about the NSA with my mom, who had a bit too much to drink. They managed to stay relatively civil, though, which is good.
+ Habi the chinchilla got a treat because he has sons and is therefore a father, even though I don’t own them.
